LG G Flex.. Hands-On

LG G Flex.. Hands-On | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"LG was pitching a few benefits from the curved design: it’s a natural shape for voice calls, and the slight proximity to your mouth could yield a gain of 3 decibels. When watching videos, the curvature makes the experience more “immersive” says LG, which also builds a curved OLED TV for the same reason."

LG G2 camera hands-on: OIS, back-facing shutter, 13MP up close

LG G2 camera hands-on: OIS, back-facing shutter, 13MP up close | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"One of the key ingredients for success for LG with the LG G2‘s release this Autumn is in its backside – and not just because it’s working with all of its physical buttons on its rear. Instead it’s because LG has made a big effort to show off its current-generation camera technology, complete with optical image stabilization, a back-facing shutter button (that’s the down-volume button, mind you), and a 13MP sensor."

LG G2 Video Review.. LG's Best Smartphone Yet

LG G2 Video Review.. LG's Best Smartphone Yet | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG G2 is LG's flagship mainstream size (by Android standards) smartphone for fall 2013. It competes with the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Moto X and iPhone 5s, and it does a fine job. While the shiny plastic back and simple front don't set it ahead of the classier competition from Apple, HTC and Nokia, the edge to edge 5.2" full HD IPS display does set it apart, as does the Qualcomm 800 CPU."

Verizon LG G2.. wireless charging exclusive in the US

Verizon LG G2.. wireless charging exclusive in the US | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The Verizon LG G2 will be the only variant of the new Android flagship to support native wirelesscharging in the US, the carrier has confirmed, building the cable-free technology into the phone itself. LG confirmed that the new G2 would be available across all four major US carriers at Wednesday’s launch event, but at the time did not detail any operator variations. However, Verizon followed up with the tidbit that, out of all four versions, only the G2 for its network would offer wireless charging support."

LG G2.. the latest LG flagship.. hands-on | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG G2, the company’s latest Android smartphone, is here, and we’ve been spending some hands-on time with the 5.2-inch flagship to see how it shapes up in a crowded market. LG has dipped into all of its different divisions – displays, batteries, and more – to cherry-pick their best technologies, pairing them with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quadcore and the first smartphone 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization."

LG Optimus G Pro review.. AT&T style

LG Optimus G Pro review.. AT&T style | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG Optimus G Pro brings a massive upgrade to the LG Optimus G, a device put together so well that Google decided to use it for its most recent hero smartphone, the Nexus 4. The LG Optimus G Prohas been released internationally with essentially the same hardware build as you’re seeing here, AT&T’s additions being largely app-centric. That leaves the same high-powered processor, 5.5-inch display, and collection of odd software abilities that draw us in just as much as they did in the original."

LG Spirit 4G.. attractive, mid-range, review

LG Spirit 4G.. attractive, mid-range, review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

The LG Spirit 4G is one of the more attractive mid-range options for MetroPCS customers.

"While they may not be the biggest carrier or have the most coverage, there are plenty of things to like about MetroPCS, like their lack of long-term contracts and their low plan prices. Now we can add another item to that list: the LG Spirit 4G, a low-cost midrange phone that offers an awful lot for it’s relatively modest price."

LG Optimus G Pro+ spotted with extra massive display

LG Optimus G Pro+ spotted with extra massive display | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG Optimus G was ushered in with a bang last year, bringing on the first look we’d had at the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor – and here in 2013 it’s looking like the face of the device is about to get a whole lot larger. With the original Optimus G having a very likely large amount of sales cannibalized by the Google Nexus 4, it’s no wonder that LG is likely thinking about bringing not one, but two new models to the market here in the first half of the year. The first reveal was the LG Optimus G Pro with a lovely 5-inch display – now it’s time to get even larger."

LG Nexus 4.. T-Mobile review

LG Nexus 4.. T-Mobile review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The difference between the Google Play Nexus 4 and the T-Mobile Nexus 4 is neither in the hardware nor in the software, but in the cost and agreement you’ll be making with T-Mobile – but that doesn’t mean we can’t give some more time to Google’s own smartphone hero for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean – for science!"

Nexus 4.. review

Nexus 4.. review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Google is up to its fourth Nexus smartphone, and the LG Nexus 4 faces a very different mobile world from the heady days of the Nexus One. Back then, Google’s Nexus led the field in specifications, a deliberate kick to manufacturers to be more imaginative with their Android devices. The Nexus 4, however, faces ambitious and best-selling Android phones (not to mention the iPhone 5, and the launch of Windows Phone 8) that are already capable and compelling. Does the new Nexus have a place in the mobile market?"

The LG G2 Guest Mode.. a closer look

The LG G2 Guest Mode.. a closer look | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG G2 was recently announced and it looks like it’s going to be a pretty big deal. It has amazing specsthat hold up to every other flagship phone in the industry right now. Even our staff had mostly nice things to say about it. It has a lot of features, but arguably the most unique is its Guest Mode.

Guest Mode is exactly what it sounds like it is. It allows owners to set up a sort of guest interface for people who want to use the phone."

LG Optimus G Pro review.. phone-tablets are here to stay

LG Optimus G Pro review.. phone-tablets are here to stay | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Phones keep getting bigger, and LG is playing the game like everybody else. Following in the footsteps of competitors like Samsung and HTC, LG announced the Optimus G Pro last month, a smartphone-tablet hybrid device with a 5.5-inch screen and a 1080p display. It’s certainly larger than its predecessor, the Optimus G, but its screen size isn't the only thing that's been beefed up."

LG Optimus L9.. T-Mobile review

LG Optimus L9.. T-Mobile review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Most of us know that when it comes to smartphones, it’s a constant struggle to find the right balance between power, looks, and affordability, with affordability normally losing out in the end. The problem most of the time is that the affordable phones don’t always look the best and typically don’t have the best hardware under the hood. If you want a phone that looks sleek and performs great, you’re going to have to shell out the big bucks, right?"
