Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.. video review

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.. video review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Is it a phone, a tablet or a phablet? You decide. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is here on ATT, and despite the jumbo size, the price is small at $149 on contract and $479 without contract. Clearly that means you don't get top of the line specs, but the Mega 6.3 belies its mid-range specs with good performance and quality. This is an Android smartphone with a 6.3" display that's closer in size to a 7" tablet than a smartphone.."

DROID Maxx.. unboxing and hands-on

DROID Maxx.. unboxing and hands-on | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"It’s time to get a look at the largest of three DROID devices released this week by Motorola and Verizon: the DROID Maxx. This device takes on a form that’s remarkably similar to the DROID Ultra, including software and hardware, but brings on a significantly larger battery and slightly different backside casing to differentiate. Here we’ve got essentially the same device as we showed yesterday in our DROID Ultra review, but with a lot longer battery life and a double-down on internal storage."

Motorola Droid Ultra.. review

Motorola Droid Ultra.. review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The Droid Ultra by Motorola is the middle child in Verizon's fall 2013 Moto Droid lineup. There's the Droid Mini with a 4.3" display, our $199 with contract Droid Ultra and the $299 Droid Ultra with double the battery and storage. The Ultra is very similar to the Moto X in terms of software and internals. The exterior is all Droid though, with its masculine, dark and imposing look."

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3.. review

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3.. review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 — is it a worthwhile device or is it just another handset in Samsung’s quest to make all the phones? While I wouldn’t get super excited over this device, it’s still pretty decent, despite it being like every other Samsung device.

I’ve got some serious deja-vu going on because I could swear we’ve reviewed this phone before.."

Verizon LG G2.. wireless charging exclusive in the US | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The Verizon LG G2 will be the only variant of the new Android flagship to support native wirelesscharging in the US, the carrier has confirmed, building the cable-free technology into the phone itself. LG confirmed that the new G2 would be available across all four major US carriers at Wednesday’s launch event, but at the time did not detail any operator variations. However, Verizon followed up with the tidbit that, out of all four versions, only the G2 for its network would offer wireless charging support."

Nokia Lumia 925.. T-Mobile Review

Nokia Lumia 925.. T-Mobile Review | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"T-Mobile finally gets a high end Windows Phone with the lovely Lumia 925. This is the first Lumia model with a dash of metal and we really like the aluminum surround breaking the sameness of the polycarbonate unibody design. The phone isn't available in those wild Lumia 920 colors, but we have to say it does look good in white, black and gray options. The smartphone is a bit slimmer and nearly an ounce lighter than the Lumia 920, but it keeps the excellent 8.7MP PureView camera.."

"What is the Oppo N1, you may ask? It’s Oppo’s answer to 2013′s obsession with higher quality imaging.Samsung has their Galaxy Zoom series. Nokia has their Lumia 1020. And now even Sony is rumored to be releasing some serious looking lenses for their upcoming Honami / i1 series, which we believe we will see at IFA 2013, in Berlin. But what- there’s more. HTC has their Ultrapixel, and Motorola has their ‘Clearpixel.’ While some might argue that today’s smartphones capture great pictures already, there is always room for improvement."

DROID Ultra vs Moto X.. anything you can do, I can do better

DROID Ultra vs Moto X.. anything you can do, I can do better | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"This week the DROID Ultra hits the review bench at SlashGear, bringing with it a full understanding of how closely it’ll be resembling the Moto X in features that – surprise – Google and Motorola implemented on the whole family. What we’ve seen thus far is a device that’s only ever-so-slightly pulled in to the Motorola universe for apps – with a dash of Verizon, while we’re at it. Essentially everything Moto X offers in a smartphone, DROID Ultra brings with just as much fury."

The LG G2 Guest Mode.. a closer look | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"The LG G2 was recently announced and it looks like it’s going to be a pretty big deal. It has amazing specsthat hold up to every other flagship phone in the industry right now. Even our staff had mostly nice things to say about it. It has a lot of features, but arguably the most unique is its Guest Mode.

Guest Mode is exactly what it sounds like it is. It allows owners to set up a sort of guest interface for people who want to use the phone."

Nokia Lumia 521 vs Samsung Galaxy S II.. budget boxing

Nokia Lumia 521 vs Samsung Galaxy S II.. budget boxing | Mobile IT | Scoop.it

"Thought Samsung has long since moved on from the second-generation Galaxy and tech news in general forgets about essentially any phone (even the Lumia 520) almost without fail once they’ve been out for a short period of time, there’s a battle going on at T-Mobile between these two machines. Both the Nokia Lumia 521 (as it’s called when you see it working with T-Mobile) and the Samsung Galaxy S II are currently tagged “Top Seller” on the carrier’s stock listings, this honor only otherwise given to the HTC One and iPhone 5 at this very moment. What makes this set of devices so special?"
