How to Design an Effective Mobile Ad

How to Design an Effective Mobile Ad | Mobile | Scoop.it
Learn how to design an effective mobile ad to increase your CT & install rates

Creating effective mobile advertising campaigns starts with creating effective mobile ads – it doesn’t matter how much you spend on pay-per-click bids if your ads don’t attract people’s interest. There is both an art and a science to creating attention-getting, clickable mobile ads, and better mobile ad design can save you money (and make you even more money).

Since most CPC/CPM mobile ad systems use a blend of per-click bid price and click-through rate (CTR) to determine which order to serve your ad in, it makes sense to spend time improving your ad’s design. A better-designed ad will lead to higher CTR, which means you will pay less per click. Better mobile ad design also helps you set expectations better for users (as they will have a better understanding of exactly what they’re clicking and what message they can expect to see on the other side) and build a stronger brand with a more consistent visual identity and messaging.

Here are a few tips on how to design better mobile banner ads – by keeping it simple for your users:

Making A Mobile Game - Asking For Value, Getting To Money

Making A Mobile Game - Asking For Value, Getting To Money | Mobile | Scoop.it
We would like to share this guest post written by Dale Strickler, CEO at DESSEC.com, Inc. Here he shares experience of bringing a mobile game project to life, searching for funds, and the importance of customer-oriented approach for young startups.

Most people myself included, focus on how great the idea is, and how wonderful the product could be, but can't connect the dots to make it happen. This was my experience for 20 years - which I have now overcome. Others are so caught up in the idea they detail it, plan its optimal execution, and draw the ''hockey stick'' of awesome projected sales for a monstrous business plan before they test the idea with even one other person. The .com bust was full of people who lost massive investments on these ''business plans''; the investors you want to deal with are wiser now.

The startups most likely to succeed do three things well:

1. Focus on customers;

2. Find value;

3. Execute while being comfortable with failure!
