Agency.com used to have all glass walls for hallways, meeting rooms, and offices and everyone carried erasable markers. It looked somewhat chaotic, but also very exciting to walk among all of the scribbles and doodles.

Far too often veterinarians fail to delegate to their vet nurses and techs, sometimes due to guilt, other times to trust.  The tragedy is that their team actually WANT more responsibility and everyone one vet, team, clients, pets would all benefit.

Six Principles Underlying Hiring Great Team Members for Your Business

Six Principles Underlying Hiring Great Team Members for Your Business | Business Improvements | Scoop.it

Via Daniel Watson
Cathy Matthews's insight:

Your business team is like family and should be treated with dignity and respect. Your team, if focused on obtaining a common goal and proud (not to mention excited) to come to work each day, is what makes an organization successful. This is accomplished through defined goals, clear strategy, clear communication, and working well with others. As my dad used to say (a very successful businessman who worked his way to President of his company), there are 3 rules to live by in the business world: 1. Love what you do; 2. Love the people you work with; 3. Love yourself.

Especially in small businesses it is very possible to become 'loved' by your customers. Everything is more personalized, you have to work better than your competitor and 'over-deliver'.

Do better than what the expectations are, and create your own image by really catering to what your client is looking for. Go the extra mile. Word-of-mouth will do the rest.

A great example of a business that is love very much is SBI/Sitesell, a company that teaches you how to find your niche, combine that with the right keywords, and set up your website around that. They host, teach, provide forums (very active and friendly), customer service (second to none) and show ways on how to 'monetize' your site. Here is a link: http://www.sitesell.com/welcome23.html
