My first impression was "why would you want an app that replicates traditional practices", but when I looked at this data notebook and the other products that SAS is offering for free, I was inspired to investigate this collection of apps more deeply. Hope to report back on what I find.
This App says Free for 24 hrs, so I'm not sure what the price is after promotion or how long the promotion will be, but I was very impressed with it and have emailed all my Ipad Volume Purchasing Faciliators to download it. It's a Sketchbook (like Penultimate) and you can't beat free for a DECENT app.

Still, I’m terms of downloading files on web based apps, you were often limited to photos from the camera roll. This was the case with the Edmodo app.
An Edmodo app update earlier in the year allowed access to the Camera Roll and Google Docs. This however, was still too limiting to use the Library/Backpack feature of Edmodo to upload, store and download most files.
Today that changed. The latest Edmodo iPad app now adds File Sharing functionality, both uploading and downloading to Edmodo’ s Library (for teachers) and Backpack (students)."

As learning practices and technology tools change, mobile learning itself will continue to evolve. For 2013, the focus is on a variety of challenges, from how learners access content to how the idea of a “curriculum” is defined."

In case you haven’t noticed yet, we are in the midst of the largest technological revolution in decades. The proliferation of wireless computing and personal technological devices capable of accessing the world has created a new landscape that schools must be aware of now. As if there wasn't enough to keep you busy with the K-12 online learning sessions, here are the mobile learning sessions that I was able to find from a quick search of the program for the Florida Educational Technology Conference.
