East Coast vs. West Coast Mobile Shoppers: What Makes Them Click?

East Coast mobile shoppers were most likely to click on ads for optical and eyewear deals. Consumers on the East Coast also had a 60% higher CTR on education deals, including art and photography courses. On the left coast, mobile consumers gravitated to health and fitness deals. Overall West Coast consumers had a 24% higher CTR on health and fitness deals than East Coast mobile users. For West Coasters, the highest CTR were found in categories such as manicure and pedicure treatments and pilates classes.

Digital purchases, excluding apps, such as movies, TV shows, music and ebooks are the most common types of consumer transactions on smartphones, with nearly half (47%) of users buying these goods.

The third-most-popular type of purchase (35%) involves buying tickets for movies, concerts and sporting events. (In between is buying clothing or accessories, at 37%.)
