I think this article is helpful in some areas like knowing what a mixing engineer is and what they do and how there job is and also tells you in all the area a mixing engineer can work in but it would have been a little more helpful if they gave a little more details and about the tools they use and the hours that may have to work.

This article is really just telling you what a mixing engineer dose but I think it should have explained both jobs since people are trying to understand why they are not the same job they have a lot of details of a mixing engineer but not a audio engineer and what is their job not even a little detail and personally I would have wished a little more details about an audio engineer.

MichaelRai's curator insight, August 16, 2015 10:33 PM

I was confused while researching this industry. A lot of different terms came up and often seemed like they interchanged. This breaks down the difference between Audio Engineer and Mixing Engineer.

This is a credible source as it was written by the Program Director at an Audio Arts School.

A mixing engineer play a big roll in the music industry because when the sound is done they fixc it by making it sound better. Making part that needs to be high and low done and also taking out parts that dont need to be in there and alot more.

Tommy Mojarro's curator insight, April 24, 9:11 PM
This is an example of an article that although offers helpful tips, is not considered a credible source of information. The tips that are offered are some that most professionals would agree with but the tips don't offer an educational insight on mixing skills but rather self-implemented experience tips. There is no clear author noted either. Seems like the article could have been posted by just about anyone.
var's curator insight, August 18, 10:24 AM

I found about  or  of these tips to be useful and will apply to mixing strategy. This still boils down to keeping everything simple
