Bibliothèque et prototypage
La "Harvard Library" propose un espace temporaire pop-up, une sorte de tribune publique, pour les projets étudiants, de conception sur l'avenir des bibliothèques.
Du lundi au samedi, le Labrary invite les passants à entrer, interagir avec les projets, ou tout simplement s'asseoir et travailler.
The Test Kitchen Library est développé par des professeurs Jeffrey Schnapp, Ann Whiteside, et Jeff Goldenson pour prototyper des idées de la bibliothèque.
«Le système de Harvard Library est en pleine transformation. Dans le cadre de ce processus, le système de laboratoire de l'innovation propre a financé le Test Kitchen Library pour une deuxième année. Non seulement comme un moteur de changement au niveau local, mais aussi comme un moteur de l'innovation sur la scène nationale et internationale. Le cours prend la forme d'un atelier consacré à la pensée critique et spéculative, les mains sur la résolution de problèmes, la fabrication et de décision. En plus de la bibliothèque de Harvard, le réseau des clients et des collaborateurs comprend les principaux systèmes de bibliothèques publiques dans le pays.
