Mindfulness and Meditation
For many years, at great cost, I traveled through many countries, saw the high mountains, the oceans. The only things I did not see were the sparkling dewdrops in the grass just outside my door. — Rabi Thakur

Rabbi Naomi Levy says "Prayer is not a passive activity. Prayer alters us. It awakens us. Our eyes begin to notice beauty where we never noticed it before. Our hearts begin to feel compassion we never knew we had. Our priorities shift."

The article includes beautiful invocations and whatever word(s) you are using to meditate/pray ... Inner Being, Higher Self, God Self, Spirit, etc there is no denying the power of prayer.

Does Mindfulness Stress You Out?

Does Mindfulness Stress You Out? | Mindfulness and Meditation | Scoop.it

Sounds like a paradox, right? By all common logic, we shouldn't be stressed out if we're practicing mindfulness or meditation. We hear over and over in the news how those practices are supposed to help us relax. Yet I hear over and over from clients that the whole concept of mindfulness provokes anxiety. It's time to strip down the concept of mindfulness and make it accessible to everyone.

We’re motivated for a few days, but eventually the treadmill gets tedious, the cozy bed trumps the early morning walk and the pool is no longer inviting. We summon our willpower but come up wanting. But maybe willpower isn’t the problem. Maybe we just need a different perspective on exercise. That’s where mindfulness comes in.

The BioSync Team's insight:

The true task of spiritual life is not found in faraway places or unusual states of consciousness; it is here in the present. It asks of us a welcoming spirit to greet all that life presents to us with a wise, respectful and kindly heart.

Mind Over Medicine: The Awesome Power Of The Mind To Heal The Body!

Mind Over Medicine: The Awesome Power Of The Mind To Heal The Body! | Mindfulness and Meditation | Scoop.it

As Harris Dienststfrey wrote in his essay in Consciousness & Healing, “I hope this is clear. There is as yet no bottom to the well of the mind’s capacity to do in the body (some bodies) what any newly invented drug can do. The problem the drug is treating does not matter. The mind is expansive enough to treat the problem. Put it this way: The mind so far can do (for some people) what all the pharmaceutical labs of the world together haven’t been able to do.”

The Healing Power of Mindfulness | Mindful

The Healing Power of Mindfulness | Mindful | Mindfulness and Meditation | Scoop.it

When we think of mindfulness or meditation, the words conjure images of a quiet, private time of tranquility and peace. When we think of hospitals and doctors’ offices, we think of the anxiety, pain, and chaos we might experience there, and presume that mindfulness doesn’t have a place in health care. Some leading health care professionals want to change that.
