This article is all about staying present and experiencing the now. I chose to scoop this article because as a psychology major I have very interested in this type of thinking. In addition, as a college student in a high stress environment consisting of stressors such as financials, due dates, midterms, and final exams (etc.) this type of thinking can be very beneficial to the everyday student. By following the 6 steps: slowing down, getting active, trying to be more conscious, capturing the moment with your senses, paying attention to all aspects of the moment, and sharing the moment stress can be diminished yielding a better life. This article touches on the same concept of Eckhart Tolle, who is at the forefront of this type of thinking. I personally have read two of his books on staying in the present moment and chose to scoop this article as a means to share these ideas, Michele Rosenthal evidently an immensely reliable source. She is an award-winning blogger, award-nominated author, award-winning mental health advocate, and a certified professional coach. These accomplishments surely validate this post.
