"In this model, mindfulness is defined as a moment-by-moment observing of impermanence, suffering, and not-self. In other words, mindfulness involves noticing the impermanence of sensations and feeling tones, the suffering caused by habitual desire or aversion, and the idea that none of the sensations, desires, or aversions create the self. Thus observing can break the chain of thought, the habit, and eventually, the suffering."

"Mindfulness" is considered a method to counter the effects of "multi-tasking" . . . and helpful for a successful "digital detox."

 

And, judging by the photo -- also helps you eat only a plate of chocolate chip cookies ...

Mindfulness the way it is approached can be referred to as McMindfulness where we look at instrumental outcomes rather than the benefit to people and the world.

 

This is not a lot different than the way we do School. It is not about growth but about some bottom line which is corporate rather than humane.
