Will Nadella's strategy be a relief to Microsoft employees who've been waiting for a clarity from leadership, or will it be stalled by those who disagree with the new direction? Will the masses of employees jump on board to help accelerate Microsoft forward towards it new, “mobile first cloud first”, vision, or will the historic fiefdoms dampen urgency and lead to complacency? Will the desire for quarterly profits from Wall Street slow Nadella down as he invests in Microsoft’s new future, or will he be given the leeway to see his vision through to the end? Nadella is off to a good start, but I’ll be watching carefully to see what happens in the next 90 days.
