Michael Staisil to Continue Coaching Youth Sports
Michael Staisil is happy to announce that he will continue coaching youth sports in his community. He hopes to bring attention to the importance of older Americans taking on the task of coaching youth sports in order to improve the lives of America's children. Youth sports are incredibly popular in the US. Around 35 million kids play youth sports every year. Over half of them play sports outside of their schools as well. This means that there are plenty of kids working with adult coaches who are not working for or with their schools. These coaches need to be quality people for they are teaching many lessons to their players. Unfortunately there are a number of coaches who are too harsh on their players. Some children are called names and verbally harassed for failure, instead of being given the tools to learn from failure and to mature as a teammate, athlete, and young person. With good youth coaches, children learn more than just how to play a game; they learn the importance of discipline, teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, and much more. Michael Staisil's coaching and mentoring passion in youth sports covers three sports: football, basketball, and baseball. Asked about his commitment to youth sports, Michael Staisil replied, "I have a special place in my heart for football, that's for sure. I played college football at Michigan State University and won the Rose Bowl. By coaching youth sports I can give children a better sense of self-worth and confidence that I learned through my participation in sports."
