Ray-Ray Armstrong attorney to file injunction, seek reinstatement to Miami Hurricanes football team | NFL & NCAA Football News | Scoop.it

Via Sun Sentinel:

CORAL GABLES — Ray-Ray Armstrong isn't giving up on playing at the University of Miami this fall.

Just weeks after being dismissed from the program, an Orlando attorney representing Armstrong hopes the legal system can salvage his season. Matt Morgan said Tuesday night he plans to file an injunction to reinstate the defensive back on the team.

Armstrong's attorney hopes to argue Miami's decision to dismiss the star safety caused irreparable harm to his potential NFL career. The request for a temporary injunction to reinstate Armstrong would give the courts time to determine if Armstrong's dismissal was warranted.

"Ultimately, we believe Miami made this move in order to appease the NCAA," Morgan said.
