Improving the Patient Experience | Google Glass [VIDEO] Appreciating a Doctor's Human Touch

Improving the Patient Experience | Google Glass [VIDEO] Appreciating a Doctor's Human Touch | mHealth: Patient Centered Care-Clinical Tools-Targeting Chronic Diseases | Scoop.it

There are lots of people who think Google Glass is the answer to many healthcare problems: emergency response, surgical work flow, patient interaction. The jury is still out on its value because the device is too new and not in wide enough circulation to be put to the test of reality.

Physician and writer Abraham Verghese uses Google Glass to explain how much a doctor can learn from a simple handshake and examination of a patient's pulse and skin.

ET Russell's insight:

Take an 18 minute break and watch at least Video 2. It would have to be one of the best talks I've heard this year on how one single act can improve the patient experience. This video is funny, clever, moving and very reassuring about the medical profession.
