This is a tough one, because people outside the U.S. can have real difficulty buying Lindens directly from the Lab.  However, I know of two SL users who had their Linden's drained by another avatar (using a scripted object), who then traded out what they'd taken via one of these exchanges.  The exchange wasn't a direct party to the theft, just the mechanism the thief used before the Lab was able to remove the avatar from the grid.
