I watched the recording and had a go at 3XP. I just thought that you might be interested in knowing how it worked with my students.

A quick glance at this post suggests that 3XP is basically about making the most out of practice exercises and not treating them as time  / space fillers. This makes absolute sense to me and the procedures attached to the post are a good example of how to do that.
