Growing tendency of committing suicide among Pakistani soldiers deployed in Baluchistan

Growing tendency of committing suicide among Pakistani soldiers deployed in Baluchistan | "Asian Spring" | Scoop.it

Occupied Baluchistan: Reliable sources have revealed that Pakistani soldiers deployed in Baluchistan have been suffering from stress and there has been a sharp rise in committing suicides among Pakistani military personnel. This trend illustrates Pakistani occupying forces are losing the moral and psychological battle against Baluch National Armed forces (Sarmachars, the Freedom Fighters.

According to sources Pakistan forces deployed in every nook and corner of Baluchistan are involved are not only involved in gross human rights violations across Baluchistan but they are also depriving Baluch non-combats from their valuables and household goods. Several standing crops were set on fire and women and children harassed during raids on their houses.

The Baluch Sarmachars, whom the Baluch people regard as their protectors and vanguards, have always been there to defend their unarmed and brethren. Freedom Fighters are widely known as Sarmachars –meaning those who never care for their own lives for a bigger cause, in native Baluchi Language. Analysts believe that Pakistan Army is losing the war on psychological front because the Guerrilla operations of Baluch Sarmachars are not only courageous and well-coordinated but deadly as well.

Baluchistan media sources have reliably learned that Differences between Pak armed forces in Baluchistan and Frontier Corps have surfaced and the escalated conflict brought the secrets out in Public and Pakistan Military High Command are highly concerns over the issue.

Of Pakistani Death Squads, Baluch Masses and Slaughterhouses- Updated January 6, 2012.

Of Pakistani Death Squads, Baluch Masses and Slaughterhouses- Updated January 6, 2012. | "Asian Spring" | Scoop.it

Updated January 6, 2012.

The Pakistani occupation has adopted a more sinister strategy to suppress the Baluch Independence movement. In order to save itself from charges of ‘crimes against humanity’ it now employs a multifaceted strategy that focuses not only on eliminating Baluch Resistance Fighters, but also on taking out politicians, activists and civilians with the use of death squads. These death squads are largely unknown entities and what makes one marvel is the rate at which they're spawning. Ever since Quetta Police Chief Shabbir Sheikh of Quetta, an ethnic Punjabi, threatened “We'll avenge target killing with target killing” in early 2010, the Baloch Defai Tanzeem (Baloch Defense Army), Sipah-e-Shoda-e-Balochistan (Army of Martyrs of Balochistan), Al-Ansar Mujahideen, Baloch Gheiratmand Tanzeem (Honorable Baloch Organization), and the Adozai Qaumi Itthed (Adozai Tribal Union) all entered the theater in the brief period of just under two months.

These death squads have been carefully characterized and named to serve the machinations of the occupation. Anyone familiar with Pakistani history will recognize the connections. All the aforementioned death squads attempt to capitalize on religion and ethnicity.

The Baloch Defai Tanzaeem, or more appropriately, the Defense Army for Pakistani Occupation of Baluchistan (DAPOB), is responsible for high profile murders, such as Baluchistan National Party's (BNP) leader Habib Jalib, and for threatening Baluch journalists with dire consequences for providing coverage of the Nationalists. The boss of the DAPOB, son of Nasir Mengal, the Pakistani ex-federal minister for petroleum, Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal, uses religion in his rhetoric to muster support for the organization. His press releases refer to the targeting of Pakistani agents, soldiers or other members of the occupation as comparable to crimes committed against God and swears retribution for them.

4]The Adozai Tribal Union (ATU), which the Adozai Pashtuns disowned and described as an effort to create tensions between the Baluch and Pashtun nations, is designed with the motive of pitting the Pashtuns against the Baluch.

5]Baloch Gheiratmand Tanzeem has been involved in acid attacks on young girls. Incidents like acid mutilation are alien to the Baluch, but such attacks are rampant in Punjab and urban Sindh. It is said that this outfit is also lead by the DAPOB's chief, Shafiq-ur-Rahman Mengal. This organization carries the name Baluch for the sole purpose of depicting Baluch society as being intolerant towards women and children.

Balochistan: U.S. Prepares Yugoslav Model For Pakistan And Iran

Balochistan: U.S. Prepares Yugoslav Model For Pakistan And Iran | "Asian Spring" | Scoop.it

It would not be an overestimation if it were to be said that the so-called “Baloch sympathizer” Mr. Rohrabacher has actually drawn the attention of the US’ master planner, the CIA, to gear up the project of establishing a “Greater Balochistan” which was designed during the Bush era.

Ralph Peters in his testimony supported the idea of an independent Balochistan as per his article “Blood Borders” published in the Armed Forces Journal in June 2006 with a map of “Free Balochistan” (comprising the Balochistan provinces in Pakistan and Iran and parts of Afghanistan).

For its strategic importance, the province of Balochistan remains all the time in the vortex of fiercely rivaling international spy agencies for infestation. Due to the strategic importance of Balochistan, particularly for the Central Asian States and Afghanistan, the US thinks that holding, capturing or creating an independent state in the Balochistan region will provide her remunerative strategically advantages like easy excess to the Gulf through the Gwadar Port, disintegration of lonely nuclear Islamic state, dominance over China, Russia, the Persian Gulf and other Islamic countries.

Charity begins at home, goes the old adage. How about the US starting with giving Afghanistan complete independence or unconditionally withdrawing all boots from Iraq? Or breathe some sense into the warmongering executives of the US military-industrial complex before they get an almost bankrupt America entangled in another war in the Middle East?

Solve the Pakistan problem by redrawing the map

Solve the Pakistan problem by redrawing the map | "Asian Spring" | Scoop.it
An independent Baluchistan would create a territorial buffer and provide a transportation corridor for access to Afghanistan...

The permanent solution to the Pakistan problem is not more of this chest-beating appeasement. The answer lies in 20th-century history. In 1947, when India gained independence, a British Empire in full retreat left behind an unworkable mess on both sides of India – called Pakistan – whose elements had nothing in common except the religion of Islam. In 1971, this postcolonial Frankenstein came a step closer to rectification when Bangladesh, formerly East Pakistan, became an independent state.

The answer to the current Pakistani train wreck is to continue this natural process by recognizing Baluchistan’s legitimate claim to independence. Baluchistan was an independent nation for more than 1,000 years when Great Britain notionally annexed it in the mid-19th century. The Baluchis were never consulted about becoming a part of Pakistan, and since then, they have been the victims of alternating persecution and neglect by the Pakistani state, abuse which escalated to genocide when it was discovered in the 1970s that most of the region’s natural resources lie underneath their soil. Since then, tens of thousands of Baluchis have been slaughtered by the Pakistani army, which has used napalm and tanks indiscriminately against an unarmed population.

Changing maps is difficult only because it is initially unimaginable to diplomats and politicians. Although redrawing maps is the definition of failure for the United Nations and the U.S. State Department, it has, in fact, been by such a wide margin the most effective solution to regional violence over the past 50 years that there is really nothing in second place. Among the most obvious recent examples (apart from the former Soviet Union) are North and South Sudan, Kosovo, Eritrea, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, East Timor and Bangladesh.

An independent Baluchistan would, in fact, solve many of the region’s most intractable problems overnight. It would create a territorial buffer between rogue states Iran and Pakistan.
