There are many scientific studies that have been done regarding anxiety and insomnia. The two are linked together in a powerful way when it comes to sleeping problems. Anxiety, known as stress sometimes,  has been proven as a powerful factor leading to insomnia. Not all insomniacs have their primary insomnia reason as anxiety, but most do and it always factors in to problems sleeping in some way.
