If you resist fear or react when you feel fear, then you can’t learn from it or even recognize any lessons that would contribute to your continued evolution. And if you aren’t learning from it, then you can’t look at the fear as something that can be reframed into a positive opportunity to grow and change.

You must understand what drives people…the ideals and the fears. You have to help people know that you can go the extra step. The feeling you must transmit is, “you can do more than you believe, achieve more than you dream.” When people internalize that feeling, it creates a huge sense of achievable success. That success leads to more success. You also have to understand who in the organization are energy creators and energy drainers. As a CEO, you have to have this kind of drive and generate it in others.
