Last week, New York State Senator Diane Savino (23rd Senate District) and her co-sponsor Dick Gottfried (Assembly District 75) introduced a new medical marijuana bill, known as the ‘Compassionate Care Act.’ According to Senator Savino, the legislation’s goal is to regulate, track and tax medical marijuana while at the same time providing needed relief for New Yorkers suffering from the most debilitating diseases like cancer, HIV/AIDS, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, etc. She said there won’t be any loopholes that have been exploited in states like California.

Medical Marijuana is the only medication that will take care of the many illnesses that I have. I live in Texas where it is not legal though all my Doctors agree this is the best remadie for me and will help me get off all of the drugs that are slowly killing me.
