Rayeshawn Ward's curator insight, May 13, 2014 12:08 AM

According to the social information processing theory pictures are more important than text, because a person can alter their online presence. Hence the popularity of Catfish.  However if a picture is posted by friends or family then more people will believe it to be true since we cannot control another persons actions. Tag! your it.

Learn Do Share

Learn Do Share | Media Psychology and Social Change | Scoop.it

LEARN DO SHARE is the first book of a series that captures storytelling experiments designed to trigger social innovation. The result of our open collaboration is a rather unusual look-do-and-think-book that explores the methods we used, pitfalls we encountered and lessons we learned when we invited 600 people to co-create a multi-perspective emergent narrative

cyndi whitecotton's insight:

LEARN DO SHARE is partnered with Columbia University’s course on 21st Century Storytelling, DIY Days and Wicked Solutions [WS], a roving living lab that uses storytelling and game mechanics to unleash the imagination of many. It’s a think tank meets social hackathon that tackles a wicked problem over the course of 72 hours or less. We’re addressing design questions that help solve global social issues. Working from concept to prototype, the lab is a partnership between FreedomLab Future Studies and Reboot Stories. The results become Creative Commons properties that will be stored on www.learndoshare.net
