Very informative and scary infographic and statistics about Cyberbullying (by Best Education Degrees)

Cyberbullying is defined as the “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.”

It is time to understand that technology is connecting teens in ways they can’t escape.

Big Data and Business Decision Making | MIT Technology Review

Big Data and Business Decision Making | MIT Technology Review | media | Scoop.it
What’s the point of all that data, anyway? It’s to make decisions.

This anecdote suggests a way of understanding the era of “big data”—terabytes of information from sensors or social networks, new computer architectures, and clever software. But even supercharged data needs a job to do, and that job is always about a decision. In this business report, MIT Technology Review explores a big question: how are data and the analytical tools to manipulate it changing decision making today?

Help a friend!

Help a friend! | media | Scoop.it

If you are worried about your friend being a bully, here are a few things you can talk to them about.

*Let your friend know that bullying is unacceptable and that there will be serious consequences at home, school, and in the community if it continues.

*Try to understand the reasons behind your friend's behavior. In some cases, kids bully because they have trouble managing strong emotions. In other cases, kids haven't learned cooperative ways to work out conflicts and understand differences.

Most importantly, set a good example!
