I've doing a lot of digging into Google Authorship for some time now. It's amazing to watch Google experiment with it! But how does it all work?

Based on Google’s Agent Rank patent, we believe that if you begin using Google Authorship, you will end up being given an Author Rank one day. This will effect the visibility of your content, and have an impact on your overall search engine ranking through the Internet giant.

But what will affect and constitute author rank? This is a great visual breakdown of what can influence author rank after it is implemented. Can you name any more?

malek's curator insight, June 12, 2013 12:29 PM

A simple infographic that breaks it down into just three steps. Anyone can follow this guide, and come out with a good understanding of how the Authorship program protects their work.

How To: Use Wikipedia in the Classroom Responsibly

How To: Use Wikipedia in the Classroom Responsibly | MBA | Scoop.it

The problem is that Wikipedia in the classroom has gotten a bad reputation in the K-12 world, undeservedly so I think. I would suggest that Wikipedia can be used for a multitude of educational purposes at a wide variety of grade levels. Too many teachers are still afraid to use it in class, so I’m here to right that wrong and show our educators how they can responsibly integrate Wikipedia into their lessons.

Be sure to check out Wikipedia’s own resources for teachers as well. They have an awesome 12-week syllabus showing you exactly how you can integrate Wikipedia into your classroom. They also have training designed especially for educators."

Giving these types of skills to students can help them with their understanding of writing and also help teachers with avoiding the copy and paste syndrome in tasks.

Social SEO: Beginners & Advanced

Social SEO: Beginners & Advanced | MBA | Scoop.it

Make SEO and social media work for you by YOU taking control of it!

You need to learn how. Anyone can follow instructions and implement a campaign that someone else outlines.  You need to learn why social media works when done properly.  Discover what really works, in the real world, for small businesses just like you.

When you understand what works and why, you’ll be able to implement campaigns that drive traffic and sales all by yourself.  Without paying hundreds or thousands of dollars each month to a “social media manager”.

If you need more traffic to your site, then you can't ignore SEO or social media. It's not SEO OR social media anymore. It's SEO AND social media. You need both.

Wonderful resource to share in the classroom! I love this quote by Margaret Catley-Carlson of the Global Water Partnership: ”We cannot create water, but we can manage it better, much better.” Something to discuss with students and open their minds to different ideas that might be able to be done in the school or home environment. This resource is great to support in explaining the water cycle with students in class.

I don't agree as I believe the quality of Education and cross cultural Awarness that MBAs provide makes a direct impact on expanding the knowledge base and thinking pattern of MBA Graduate. The return might not be immediate due to the current economic stagnation definite is a useful experience !

Very interesting. I don't believe and MBA makes you any better in business, in fact, and unfortunately, I came across a business that was taken over by someone with an MBA and the company steadily went downhill - they had all the measures and the theories in place but no leadership or hands on management.

The infographich made me laugh with the only president to have an MBA was George W Bush - whoops!

What is more useful is entrepreneurial spirit, drive and leadership.
