Nonetheless, my own experimentation with different genres of music since the 90's has revealed that New Age music, e.g. from Stephen Halpern, Kitaro, Ray Lynch, Ravi Shankar, van Gelis, Yanni, is great for thinking about problems and playing with scenarios, while Baroque and Classical music, e.g. 'Relax with the Classics' from the Lind Institute in San Francisco helps in creating a resourceful mind state for reading, journal writing and introspection activities.

Nice to know that "the onset of stress entices the brain into growing new cells responsible for improved memory. However, this effect is only seen when stress is intermittent. As soon as the stress continues beyond a few moments into a prolonged state, it suppresses the brain’s ability to develop new cells."

That's to say, we need more eustress!
