Poor numeracy skills in the UK are a huge and neglected problem. We want every person in the UK to reach a level of numeracy skills that allow them to meet their full potential.

Thoughts on managing variability: SOLO mats - a 1 page lesson

Thoughts on managing variability: SOLO mats - a 1 page lesson | Great Maths Teaching Ideas | Scoop.it
William Emeny's insight:

A brilliant blog by Kev Lister about how he's using the SOLO Taxonomy in the design of his lesson resources. They need to be an inter-connected web of links instead if we are going to get kids doing deep learning.

A scheme of work needs to be a 'culturally rich and diverse learning adventure' rather than a 'sterile whistle-stop tour'.
