I'm not sure I'm impressed with these changes so we'll have to wait until they are widely rolled out to see their impact.

Thank you Laura, I totally agree with you that Facebook has too much clutter (I look forward to see the changes that are planned for the next week, that should ameliorate this fact). But I am surprised what you say on LinkedIn, I use it a lot and I've never had any problems with phishing. Anyway, the important thing is that each of us finds its way in the middle of all the possibilities that are opening to us up through social media.

LinkedIn was sending everyone connected to me invites. I didn't know until a few people began complaining about all the invites I was sending them. But, I hadn't sent any out. It was LinkedIn. Check with your contacts. I put LinkedIn as a junk filter so I never get requests from anyone now.

There was an incident a couple of months ago. The site was hacked and thousands of profiles were affected. That's why people got invites from you, probably. The problem has never happened to me.

Facebook Fan Pages now have a dedicated feed | Marketing Planning and Strategy | Scoop.it

Have you used Facebook today? If so, you may have noticed a new tab called “Pages Feed” in the left sidebar of your homepage.

Clicking the tab will reveal a separate newsfeed tailored to only display content from the Pages a user follows. Updates appear in the order they are published, with the latest content at the top.

I don't know about you, but some of the things people share on Facebook make me shake my head.

The "Dislike" button is a feature that tons of users have been asking for. However, the company seems unwilling to make it available.

I wonder how long it will take Facebook to disable or preempt this?

Here is some news that should put a lot of business owners at ease (for the time being).

Facebook will soon release a new feature that allows fans to get a notification every time a Facebook Page they follow posts something new.

What do you think of this new option?
