On Visit Norway it is possible to do ski jumping online and to compete with other customers. This principle is based on gamification, a marketing strategy which turns out to be more and more used in the travel industry.  The advantage is that the customer is incorporated actively and is connected in an emotional way. Norway plays on social media to promote its new promotion strategy.  After two jumps the player is able to share his result on facebook and twitter and can recommend the game to his friends directly by email. One trend that we keep a close eye on is for sure gamification...
