Marketing communications is vital to the survival of a business.  Because of this, managers in charge of these communications are given a great deal of responsibility at a company.  The article specifies which types of tasks they are in charge of.  For one, they manage and develop external and internal communication strategies.  Managers also support the business development team with the delivery of all aspects of the communications strategy, including internal communications and PR.  They must deliver a PR program with a focused outcome and manage social media and website strategies.  Another duty that they possess is overseeing communications material from the start to the production of tone and brand consistency.  Because of the vast amount of responsibilities, a well-educated and experienced candidate is needed to be hired.  Typically, a firm wants a communications manager to have six years of experience.  They should also be proficient on digital platforms and in financial and insurance markets.

Marketing communications is a form of media that is used to communicate with a specific market.  In today’s society, these types of communications are vital to the survival of a business, and society in general.  Technically speaking, the four p’s of marketing play a vital role in the way that it reaches the public domain.  These p’s include product, price, place, and promotion.  This article specifically mentions the country of Nigeria as a place where these types of marketing communications are taking place.  There is a distinct lack of marketing communications in the Nigerian nation.  BrandiQ is a new magazine that is being launched that journeys further into marketing than Nigeria has ever set out to do.  Due to its journalistic integrity and scholarly articles, it is a respected form of advertising is this medium.  Recently, it has delved into the Toyota brand presence in the country and its impact on Nigerian lifestyle.  Owners of the magazines hope that in a few years readers will be able to expand their sphere of experience because of their trailblazing breakthroughs in the Nigerian market.
