Myth No. 1: People who love your brand on social are the best advocates.

“I hate to break it to marketers, but this is not always the case,” says Marco Hansell, CEO of social marketing platform Speakr. “Advocates can quickly become white noise if people expect them to talk about your brand every single day.”

 

Myth No. 2: Posting and sharing content is enough.

“Engagement is the single most important use of social media. As a brand, you not only need to share content, but you also need to engage with your audience by responding to their comments, proposing questions, and establishing a rapport with key influencers, so it's visible to your listeners,” says John Donnelly, senior vice president of global sales and marketing at social intelligence company Crimson Hexagon.

 

Myth No. 3: Respond to everything in social.

 “One thing that I think brands mistake in social is that they need to hop on every real-time moment, trend, or customer complaint,” Speakr's Hansell says. “While engaging with your audience is key, knowing when to engage and when to stay out is the art of thinking of your brand just like a normal person. We don't respond to everything people email us, nor do we hop into every trending topic trying to force our own relevancy into it.”

 

Myth No. 4: Companies must have a presence on every social channel.

Each social platform has its own posting and sharing etiquette. Users even comport themselves differently depending on the platform. So, brands should be careful and strategic when expanding their social presence.

 

Myth No. 5: Only professionals can create marketing content.

“No one knows customers better than customers themselves; so, why do marketers think they're the only ones who can create engaging content?” asks Marc Cowlin, senior director of content marketing at digital technology company Thismoment.

Writing a blog post -like all other writing- is a skill. In order to keep your reader interested, you should think about structuring your text and writing in an appealing style. You should help your readers to grasp the main idea of your post by providing headings, subheadings and clear paragraphs. If people understand and like your text, they are much more likely to share, like, tweet and link to your post. And that will increase your rankings! So, in order to improve your ranking in Google, you should definitely try to maximize your writing skills!

For some, writing for SEO purposes and writing to attract and keep attracting your audience could appear as two contradictory goals. However, I totally disagree. Indeed, if you not only want a good but also an SEO-friendly blog post, your text should be written in such a way that the words you want to be found for have a very prominent place. And, using your keywords too often severely damages the readability of your text. So, you definitely should not do that!

Let’s make one thing very clear right from the start: Social Media Marketing does not equal Content Marketing and Content Marketing does not equal SEO. If you think that: Online Marketing and even anything related to online business is simply not for you.

 

The reason why I decided to write this post is that there are too many so called marketers running around in our industry that not only mix these up – they are mixing these up on purpose.

 

Their purpose is to rip off those who don’t know about the differences between these areas and sell one-stop solutions to victims that don’t know better. If this post can prevent even one of these sales from happening I have achieved my goal.

 

Yes, these three areas are related but no, they are not the same!...

The Google Bookmark manager è un sistema per gestire i bookmark che assomiglia per certi versi a Pinterest, in quanto si configura come uno strumento visuale.

 

E' possibile in modo molto semplice ordinare le pagine che ci interessano, poiché il sistema di gestione è integrato nel browser.

 

Il funzionamento è simile a Pearltrees, si creano cartelle, entro le quali è possibile o creare altre cartelle per classificare in modo più preciso e dettagliato i nostri segnalibri, o si salvano i segnalibri dai quali sarà poi possibile accedere alle pagine.

 

E' possibile editare le cartelle e i bookmarks personalizzandoli (nome, descrizione, annotazioni, pubblico/privato, ecc.). E' possibile condividere le cartelle rendendole pubbliche.
