The sales process, is in itself an important part in getting to yes, especially in B2B sales where overlooking important steps in the process will result in a definite no.

New entrepreneurs and new salespeople can be extremely passionate about the product or service they are promoting or selling, and whilst this can be a positive trait, it can backfire for a number of reasons and effect the sales outcomes negatively.

This excellent article, explains why it doesn't pay to get to exited if you want to achieve sales success, and it outlines the four mistakes that too much passion can cause you to make in your selling role.

Monika D'Agostino's comment, April 25, 2013 4:18 PM
So true. Being too excited about the product often leads to eager decisions and keeps sales people from listening to the prospect's needs.
