How to Use Facebook Graph Search for Business

How to Use Facebook Graph Search for Business | Marketing | Scoop.it
No doubt you're familiar with Facebook graph search but are you using graph search for your business? Do you even know where to start?
Ali's insight:

This is great for people that are already using Facebook. However, with the number of young people on facebook dwindling and those of us who are on the network getting older, I fail to see how this will enable the growth of Facebook.

On the other hand, Facebook makes its billions from advertising and this is a great tool for marketers to leverage for better targeting. So if we feel like we are gettig better bang for our buck then I guess we'll pay. No matter how many videos Mark Zuckerberg makes to try and convince people that it is made for the masses, it's not!

A word to those who are crying over privacy issues. This is nothing compared to how much google knows about people and what they do with the information.

How do South Africans spend their time online? | DigitLab | Social Media Marketing

How do South Africans spend their time online? | DigitLab | Social Media Marketing | Marketing | Scoop.it
Can you believe South Africans spend more time on their mobiles than they do watching TV, listening to the radio, or reading newspapers and magazines?

Ali's insight:

Most professional's biggest fear is to be found out how incompetent they are, a study once revealed.

Same goes for big advertising agencies. They resist to move into digital because their customers can now measure how effective those multimillion Rand campaigns actually are. They are afraid of being caught.

There is no reason South African businesses should stay on this sinking ship just becaue these agencies have reputations that span over a number of decades or because they have worked with McDonalds.

The internet has broken down that monopoly and brought power in the hands of business owners. Businesses don't need permission from these so-called experts, they can try things on their own and failures aren't as costly anymore. They can afford to go out and fail without fear and that, is very powerful.

These stats show just how much the country has changed. Businesses should jump at this opportunity now or risk getting left behind.

10 Google Apps for Social Media Management and Marketing

10 Google Apps for Social Media Management and Marketing | Marketing | Scoop.it

Via Daniel Watson
Ali's insight:

It can be extremely difficult make time and track all your comapaigns across social media platforms, especially if you are a small business. The apps in this list will definitely help with cordinating all your activities across socaial platforms.

It is important to remember though, that one does not have to be on all platforms. I think this is where most of the time consumption comes in. I am speaking specifically about small businesses.

You have got to identify where your ideal customer is spending the most time. Because even as individuals we always have a favorite social platform. The choice of platform can be highly predictable if one looks at the demographics. People of a certain age from a certain background spend more time on certain platforms than others.

For those that have already defined their audience and are ready to proceed with marketing to them, the apps on this list can be extremely helpful and time saving, not to mention affordable.

10- Desk.com:

It's a social help desk that features real-time customer support via email, Facebook, Twitter, live chat, web, and phone from a single administrative console. It costs $3 per month for up to 3 people.

It was really exciting reading the scoop. It added to my knowledge about Google Apps a lot. All of thees apps and tools are useful to use and access. It helps protect your information and data. It also allows you to monitor your data and your social networks. After reading this scoop, I really advice people to use these apps and to benefit from them. It's also amazing how Google made them all in one as a cloud, were you don't have to worry about loosing informations or data.

Moreover, most of these apps and tools are free to use. Even for the ones that you have to pay for them, it's actually not expensive and really worth what are you paying for.

Technology is really developing more and more and it's really important to keep up with thees developments and changes because they are helping us managing our life and makes our life easier.
