This spot from Newcastle agency Droga5 shows exactly what kind of poor-quality photographs the brand is hoping to receive. Did you take a vacation photo of yourself standing on a dirt plot, gazing wistfully into the distance? That's perfect. Or as Newcastle would say, it's "bollocks!

The Telegraph released a letter to its advertisers in an effort to soothe any concerns regarding a lack of transparency in programmatic trading. The letter reads like a list of guarantees, and The Telegraph is calling it its “Customer Charter.”


Sales and trading director Jim Freeman and client director Melanie Danks co-authored the letter, in which they promise clients that every investment on ad impressions will deliver "Real people (No Click Bots); a quality and engaging environment to ensure context and attention; a more affluent audience than Facebook, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and all other Newsbrands; quality and engaging content produced by a network of over 500 journalists across the world with the most sophisticated state of the art tools at their disposal; and the most loyal and data rich audience in Newsbrands." The Drum has more.

Research released today by IAB UK reveals that 76% of the top 50 UK technology and telecoms brands have a mobile optimised site, however 6% have no mobile presence whatsoever.

IAB’s Head of Mobile, Alex Kozloff said: “The IAB’s mantra this year is to make mobile mandatory. We believe that by producing this series of sector specific audits we are encouraging brands to get to grips with mobile. It’s no longer OK to ignore mobile – if you’re looking at engaging, selling or even driving awareness for your brand amongst your consumers, then you need to be embracing this medium.”
