Interesting report from #Radware on load time for US retail websites. I think #designers are focused less on load speed due to misconceptions of #broadband availability. Try #JPEGmini. You'll like it. I also see a lot of retailers using #Adobe #Scene7 - while it has a great deal of power in scaling images, load time is not great. I would like to see what technology the top 500 US retail websites are using...

I can easily see how the "Groupon" model can be applied to mobile and ecommerce - creating brand fanatics who are constantly alert to "the deal". Keeping opportunities specific to the brand, rather than a distributor, can help bolster brand loyalty and exclusivity.
