As days passing, Google’s ranking algorithm becomes more complex and volatile. The days were gone when Google just considered meta tags and backlinks for web page ranking but now it uses at least 200 ranking factors in their algorithm.
Google now considers every corner of on-site and off-site when it comes to rank a website or webpage in search engine.
This infographic definitely helps to get an idea of what should be considered in the website optimization process. Truly great infographic.....

Hello {FIRSTNAME}, Hi {FIRSTNAME}, make mo.ney before you ever PAY? I'm super excited about writing this to you. This is by far the best guarantee I have ever seen when it comes to making mon.ey onl.ine. Please just read this email and I know you will see that this is the first time you have ever seen anything like this before. Ian Herculson has just released a new service called Smart Subscriber, where he's full on promising you that if you just 'try it out' that he will in fact make you money as an affi.liate mar.keter... ... BEFORE you have to pay anything. Yes I know, that's insanely good, but it's for real and you can read how he's successfully pulling this off here: http://smart.gurumarketer.com?c=60318 Ian is actually backing up this pretty bold claim too in 3 unheard of ways. Read this... First of all, you don't have to pay anything up front to get started. No credit card, no paypal, no nothing. Just sign up and go. No tricks here, Who does that? Second, he's giving you enough time to really see for real that it will work. How much time? - Not just 7 days - Not only 14 days - Not a measly 30 days - Not even an insane 60 days You will get a full 90 days; yes 3 freaking months for nothing where Ian will be making you a constant stream of commi.ssions without asking for anything back. Tell me where you've seen that before... no where. Third and most importantly, Ian is putting his mo.ney where his mouth is and giving away all commi.ssions that normally he would make to once and for all prove that he can make you mon.ey with Smart Subscriber before ever asking you to pay for his service. Whhaaat! Think about what was just said {FIRSTNAME}. In short; Ian is going to give you a no obligations 90 Day Fr.ee Trial of Smart Subscriber where he will make you mon.ey through affi.liate comm.issions just to prove his service is worth paying for! You cannot lose here {FIRSTNAME}, and I'm sorry to be so blunt but you would seriously be a complete idiot not to just try it with that strong of a promise. Here's where you can go get more information and see how it all works or get started. http://smart.gurumarketer.com?c=60318 See you on the inside {FIRSTNAME}, Mohammed Lakhlili Delete the scoop?

Primary objective in this exercise is to define an audience-centric content strategy. Understanding the relationship between themes that are advertorial, industry informational and highly relevant to your targeted audience’s interests will help you stay focused.

Wow Marty...your own post is perfect! Our shop is professional/organizational learning within the University of Michigan. We have our own website, catalog and very few social media sites. Actually, we have never even used Google keywords/AdWords on our site. I'm thinking this is a definite no-no. Some of us feel it is not necessary since our customers are internal. What is your take on it?

Robin, first thanks for all the RT love today you ROCK. Now lets talk PPC. Can PPC play an important role inside of the Uof M? Maybe. If you have specific goals around list creation or have something to sell in a fairly immediate way PPC can provide an important dimension to the rest of the relationship building you do. Not sure how or what content you are monetizing, but I could see a "free UofM" study or white paper that would get my email into your list. Once there you could nurture those on your list with segmented drip campaigns. Clearly tagging those from PPC will give you the ability to judge ROI. Feel free to email your specific use case to me Martin.Smith(at)AtlanticBT.com and I will spend some time thinking about IF or HOW PPC might help. Least I can do for your sharing my content with your great tribe of followers :). Marty

This is one of the most powerful infographics that I have seen that makes the case for content. Scroll down to find out more about the power of well written articles.
This is an open secret that quality online and even print publications have known for many years - that classical advertising only works up to a point. Most consumers have reached a mental staturation level when it comes to print advertising.
Articles and well crafted, key message rich (not just SEO) content is capable of engaging the reader and building interest and brand loyalty, as well as promoting a call to action where appropriate.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Perhaps, but combine an interesting infographic or other type of image with captivating copy and you have a powerful instrument of engagement (and the distinct possibility of sharing across the social media landscape).
Nuff said.

With the growth of popularity of broadband and faster internet, along with wide screen and large screen monitors, designers have much more freedom and can use more creativity for their designs, and that has included the use of full screen videos as an introduction, a background or the main presentation of the site. So today we have selected 40 sites that effectively use a full screen video on their website to present and promote their services or products.

It is an important question for business owners to consider as they contemplate their own corporate social media marketing endeavors—and the ClickZ blog offers a few reasons why. According to the article:
All of this is to say nothing of the burgeoning popularity and import of image-based social networks like Instagram and Pinterest. The bottom line is that, when it comes to social media, images are increasingly dominant. For your corporate social media marketing efforts to succeed, then, it is vital that you optimize your content with compelling images. Easier said than done? Not necessarily. The ClickZ article offers three basic tips for how businesses can make their corporate social media marketing efforts more visual.

As creatives we constantly strive to reinterpret the world in new and visually exciting ways. Yet we can also be conservative and often have a knee-jerk reaction to something new. So on the day a new logo design is launched for a familiar brand, the first reactions are usually negative. Once some time has passed and the new design has been seen in action, though, it can be a different story. So here we take a look back at the month's biggest redesigns: with a bit of fresh perspective, what do you think of them now? Delete the scoop?

This article just shows how much is involved in a good content marketing strat. Nick, yes the response to REAL TIME is a challenge all content marketers face. There is also an important role for "tent pole" content. I think of "tent pole content" as the old "evergreen content" idea. Tent poles are posts you link in frequently because they are strong statements of branded content and they've been supported with links, likes and shares. We don't manage more than 7 tent poles at any given time and they roughly support our content keyword and taxonomy silos. Once the machine is open full throttle life is fun :). Marty
