ROBOTICS will be a major driver for global job creation over the next five years. One million industrial robots currently in operation have been directly responsible for the creation of close to three million jobs, the study concluded. Manufacturing in the United States is expected to grow in 2013, according to a new report from the Institute for Supply Management.
ISM’s Semiannual Economic Forecast, released Tuesday, shows the nation’s purchasing and supply management executives expect manufacturing revenue to increase 4.6 percent and capital expenditures to increase 7.6 percent. More than 60 percent of survey respondents expect revenues to be greater in 2013 than in 2012. Delete the scoop?

Can you recommend a manufacturer to produce my patented pool toy?” Ordinarily, rattling off potential Chinese producers would have been easy. But, having just spent a week touring U.S. manufacturing facilities in Ohio, I dramatically altered my response. “Have you considered a US-based producer?
