Get Twitter RSS feeds with these one click bookmarklets | Managing options | Scoop.it

We love Twitter but we hate that they have removed RSS feeds from users’ profiles and search.

But while most systems designed to generate Twitter RSS feeds require you to hack around with the URL we thought we’d look at an easier way. So we developed these easy-to-use bookmarklets which allow you to generate RSS feeds for users’ profiles and search terms.

A bookmarklet is a small piece of code that sits in your browser’s bookmarks toolbar. Like browser add-ons, they’re designed to add extra functionality to your browser or the sites that you regularly visit.

Find out how bookmarklets can be used to help you interact with various social networks faster and easier.

We have two Twitter RSS bookmarklets, one for profiles and one for searches. To use these, just drag the links from the page onto your browser’s bookmarks’ bar (Chrome and Firefox). If you’re using Internet Explorer just right-click on the links and select “Add to Favorites”.

Get any user's Twitter RSS feed or a Twitter search term's RSS feed using these browser bookmarklets : http://goo.gl/S3rHn

Reddit Bans top Domains in Sweeping Move | Managing options | Scoop.it

Reddit is on the warpath recently, banning entire websites and news organizations from its site, in a bid to limit spam and abuse. [...]

Referral from content curation depends on context

Referral from content curation depends on context | Managing options | Scoop.it

Therese's summary: Reb Carlson show how different curation site drive different traffic: Reddit of rnews and Pinterest for eCommerce. Pinterest can't be dismissed as a fad because it drives much less referral traffic than a news curation platform like Reddit; it is 0.1% away from overtaking Yahoo§ as a source of traffic.
