The first part of the ethical decision-making guide is to determine if the action is illegal, which in this case it technically isn't. It doesn't violate company standards but does violate professional standards since the company artificially reduces their inventory at year end. Even though the stockholders will be happy in the short term, it's not portraying an accurate financial picture of the company. The company has an obligation to present accurate financial statements. If it's found that management manipulates its financial statements, they'll lose their credibility. It could shut down, resulting in employees losing their jobs. The policy is not ethical.

Many Fortune 500 companies use the Myers-Briggs personality test, and people generally agree with their results. However, 75% of participants had different results after taking it a second time. It shouldn't be used to evaluate employee performance since people can easily manipulate their outcome. Also, the test is not an indicator of ability or skill.
