He aquí otra palabra comodín: "confianza". Tan llena y tan hueca según el uso -real o ficticio- que le otorga cada empresa. Aparece en muchos manuales de Recursos Humanos, está en boca de los dirigentes y es un reclamo de todo trabajador. Sin embargo su uso en entorno profesional es mediocre tirando a malo, porque nunca hemos entendido en toda su complejidad de qué va esto de confiar. La aplicación más común suele ser como "método de extorsión"; de mega jefe a jefe, de jefe a trabajador, de compañero a compañero, de compañero a becario (a veces, siguiendo este orden descendente de la escalera) el chantaje emocional puede representarse así: "necesito que me entregues este documento/proyecto/loquesea mañana. Sé que eres un buen profesional. Confío en ti". ¿Perdona? Querrás decir que me has pasado un pedazo de marrón para mañana, ¡y que confías en que lo tendrás resuelto!

As such, you should always choose a mentor who you feel can respond to your needs in a way that enables you to find your own solutions to problems that you may be dealing with.
