El Enemigo Interior

El Enemigo Interior | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

- “No tengo amigos”

- “A mi edad ya no encontrare trabajo”

- “Tengo mala suerte, solo me pasan cosas malas”

- “Creo que estoy fallando a mi familia”

- “Me siento muy solo”

- “Sé que caigo mal a la gente”

- “No me siento persona”

Standing up for #management

Standing up for #management | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
A few months ago, the all party Commission on the Future of Management (CFM) and Leadership5 published the results of their survey on the state of management in the UK. It does not make happy reading. One of the key conclusions is that the UK needs a million new managers by 2020, that’s almost 200,000 new managers a year. Sadly, it also reported that 71 per cent of managers admit that their business could do better when it comes to training new managers. Even worse, 43 per cent of line managers rate their own managers as ineffective. The Office for National Statistics’ figures6 released in 2014 show that output per hour worked in the UK is lower than the average for the other six members of the G7 – the US, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Canada. With the best will in the world, we have to admit that we are getting things wrong. The CFM report concludes, gloomily but accurately that: “Since management and productivity are intrinsically linked, it is likely that management practice is one of the major factors holding the UK back from achieving its full economic potential.”

#RRHH ¿Cómo superar 10 factores (venenos) de desmotivación organizacional? | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

“Many people in organizations find that change provides both challenges and opportunities, but often the negative part can overshadow the positive outcome at the other side of the change moment. And yet, change is a constant, in both life and work. How can we learn to navigate the emotions change brings up more positively, so that growth can be the outcome?” Tim continues, “Change is growth, it is never meant to take us down. Companionship enables us to handle change far better.”

So if change can lead to a better outcome in the future, why do so many people resist it?

#Liderazgo #Leadership 10 Amazing Secrets of Happy and Successful Leaders

#Liderazgo #Leadership 10 Amazing Secrets of Happy and Successful Leaders | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

We talk about happiness as if it were a thing to be discovered and acquired.

But happiness can never be found externally. It is not a possession to be acquired or a set of conditions, but a state of mind.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything, but they have learned to make the best of whatever they have.

The happiest leaders aren't necessarily focused on success or failure but live by a different perspective--and that outlook makes all the difference.

Here's how they live.

“Superhuman is not a compliment,” explained Linda Rottenberg, CEO of Endeavor, “because what it actually means is that you’re unrelatable.” And this is exactly the problem. When you try to hide who you really are because you don’t want to be perceived as “too feminine” or “too different,” what you actually do is distance yourself from people, which ultimately has a negative effect on your career.

Formal research on the seven new quality tools began in 1972 as part of the Japanese Society of QC technique development meetings. It took several years of research before the seven new tools were formalized. The original seven tools of quality (scatter diagram, flow charts, histogram, etc.) were adequate for data collection and analysis. However, the new tools allow for more identification, planning, and coordination in finding a problem solution. The seven new tools, as written by Japanese authors Mizuno Shigeru (1988) and Asaka Tetsuichi and Ozeki Kazuo (Tetsuichi, 1990), are:

#HR #RRHH The Value of Incremental Innovation | #Innovation #Management | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

In my first article in this series, I talked about the continued, and often misplaced, focus of corporate innovation leaders on developing disruptive innovation efforts. My basic argument within the article was the while “Big I” innovation can be a valid driver of growth. However, few companies are in the right position or have laid the appropriate groundwork to support and develop new, groundbreaking ideas, especially in the context of the existing organizational culture.
In this article I want to talk about the value of incremental innovation and why companies should often focus on this, rather than driving as hard as they can to come up with the next breakthrough product or service. Incremental improvements aren’t always cool, but over time they can drive significant business results.
