¿Cómo te motivas?

¿Cómo te motivas? | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

#RRHH La verdad sobre cómo tomamos decisiones | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

#HR Is it Really the End of Employee Engagement?

#HR Is it Really the End of Employee Engagement? | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

Could it really be the end of employee engagement?

I was evaluating some technology the other day that is designed to help individuals achieve their goals.  he “app” I was looking at provides a user with a variety of ways to ensure that a habit will become imprinted on the test subject – I mean the user.

Rather than coming away excited, I felt troubled. I began to wonder whether we spend too much time trying to “program” the human brain. Is the brain just a biological computer, where inputs and outputs are readily configurable?

My experience tells me no. And, I think many of you are like me: You feel uneasy when anyone claims to know the precise levers to pull in order to make significant behavioral changes.

The Only Two Rules You Need To Know To Be Successful In Work And Life

The Only Two Rules You Need To Know To Be Successful In Work And Life | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

There are three skills you need to be financially successful: making money, keeping money, growing money. James Altucher is mostly only good at making money.

"I’ve had several instances where I’ve started a business, sold it, made a lot of money, and then basically lost everything I made, whether it was $50 million or $5 million or whatever," he tells Fast Company. "I always have a tendency to lose everything I made."

There are some simple rules, like drink coffee first thing in the morning and 20 minutes before you write so that it "sets your brain on fire, makes you go to the bathroom, cleans your body out before you set your heart on fire." Then, there’s his 30% rule, which basically says that everyone should cut or rewrite at least 30% of their masterpiece after they think they’ve finished it.

opportunities to connect

opportunities to connect | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

As Steve Jobs said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”’ – Michael Simmons
Michael Simmons shows that Jobs had the ability to be a member of many networks, meaning that he was often the outsider, but this gave him a larger perspective than someone in a closed network, where everyone knows each other. Successful people, according to network theory, are those with more open networks. This goes against our tribal instincts and the norms of most of our institutions. Even the marketplace can be fairly homogeneous, with companies sticking to industry standard practices. But innovation often happens on the edges of disciplines. Jobs instinctively knew this with his innate curiosity.

11 Secrets Of Irresistible People

11 Secrets Of Irresistible People | Making #love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it

Some people, regardless of what they lack—money, looks, or social connections—always radiate with energy and confidence. Even the most skeptical individuals find themselves enamored with these charming personalities.

These people are the life of every party. They’re the ones you turn to for help, advice, and companionship.

You just can’t get enough of them, and they leave you asking yourself, “What do they have that I don’t? What makes them so irresistible?”

The difference? Their sense of self-worth comes from within.
