Introducing Sports Early Encouraged Maki Kamimura to Play Golf
There is a lot to be said about introducing your children to sports at an early age. Playing a sport improves hand-eye coordination, teaches concentration, and encourages children to practice and perfect their own skills. Achieving things and meeting goals as a young child is a great way for children to learn how to set and meet goals as adults.
Maki Kamimura is proud of her skills as a golfer. She is not shy about admitting she loves golf. “I grew up with the sport. I always wanted to perform better than before and outperform my peers. I played as a young child and a teenager,” says Maki Kamimura. She continues to play golf as an adult.
Maki Kamimura’s introduction to golf came early. She recalls playing golf in some of her earliest childhood memories. “My earliest golf memory is hitting plastic balls with my plastic, colorful golf clubs,” says Maki Kamimura. Like any parent enourages their child, Maki Kamimura was encouraged to hit the ball to a specific location. Even small cups laid on the floor were tools of practice for Maki Kamimura.
The more Maki Kamimura played as a child, the better her skills became. Golf has grown to become a popular school sport. More and more schools have a golf club. Maki Kamimura’s preference for where she played golf was quickly established. As an adult, there are two golf courses Maki Kamimura prefers. Both courses are located in San Diego, California.
Maki Kamimura’s favorite course is a private course called La Jolla Country Club. “It is a beautiful 18 hole course that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It is private, which I like, and I don’t think you could ask to play in a more beautiful place,” says Maki Kamimura. The course is set on a bluff and is complete with trees and bunkers.
As much as Maki Kamimura loves La Jolla Country Club, she also visits Barona Creek Golf Course. The course is an attraction of Barona Resort and Casino located in San Diego, California. Maki Kamimura was attracted to the course for its beauty but also because the course caters to golfers of all skill levels.
