"that the mangrove area and bird sanctuary will not be destroyed..."? "shall not impede the ecological function of the lagoon and its small Islands’ mangroves, salt marshes and tidal areas..."? --- Of course, that's not true! All reclamations are destructive because it need to cover, thus, destroy, the ecosystem underneath. It will also affect the patterns of the waves... and where do they think the water will go? of course it would be displaced somewhere else or flooding communities. The reclaimed land will pen in the salt water that would eventually kill the mangroves (mangroves need saltwater to live). And with the structures planned to be constructed, it would surely disturb the peace of birds seeking sanctuary in the place. They should consult environmentalists and geologists first because talking in behalf of nature is certainly not an engineer's forte.

Here are a group of people from all over the world on ships for months at a time to protect the worlds whales from unnessasary killing be some fisherman from Japan.

Only to end up sitting in a giant freezer because nobody is using the products from killing these animals...keep up the fight
