A DigitalGlobe, provedora de imagens da Terra e análise geoespacial, anunciou nesta semana o estabelecimento de um acordo com a Esri, para disponibilização de imagens do serviço Global Basemap.
As imagens serão integradas ao banco da Esri, dentro do portal ArcGIS Online. Ainda neste ano, os usuários do ArcGIS poderão utilizar as imagens em seus mapas da web e facilmente compartilhar os resultados com outros usuários online. Além disso, usuários do ArcGIS Desktop também terão acesso à estes dados.
“Este acordo com a DigitalGlobe vai nos ajudar a oferecer aos nossos usuários uma cobertura global de imagens significativamente melhor”, disse Jack Dangermond, presidente da Esri. “Estamos empolgados pois a DigitalGlobe proverá à todos os usuários acesso a mais de 100 milhões de quilômetros quadrados de imagens de alta qualidade, abrangendo múltiplas resoluções.”.......
