Develops and executes change & communication strategies for IT Foundation (i.e. McDonald's IT Infrastructure organization) within the IT Solutions function to facilitate the achievement of that area's leadership objectives. Collaborates with the Strategic Change team in the development of overall communications plan to ensure alignment of key strategies and messages. Develops external communication strategies to successfully position IT and its initiatives within McDonald's. Key relationships include the VP and Chief Information Officer, IT Foundation Leadership Team, and resources representing other key McDonald's initiatives. Responsibilities Principal Accountabilities In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Strategic Alignment Design, develop and orchestrate IT Foundation leadership discussions (offsites, etc.) to promote alignment and ensure common objectives. Advise key leadership on developing a strategic agenda; help to prioritize key discussions with appropriate stakeholders Assist with measuring the effectiveness of function (focus groups, change networks, etc.) Ensures alignment and cultivates relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Application Owners, US IT Foundation, AOW security resources, etc.) Communicate and align IT Foundation resources on shared goals to ensure a common focus on strategic priorities and drive better business results. Create opportunities for dialogue and alignment for IT Foundation employees through departmental meetings, etc. Change Enablement Strategy Develop and manage strategic and comprehensive change strategies for various programs within IT Foundation. Conduct impact analysis to understand stakeholder needs and commitment. Assist with the development and socialization of processes and protocols for implementing change on IT Foundation’s efforts. Communication Strategy Participates with the Strategic Change team to align strategic messaging of technology efforts with the Plan to Win. Support annual communication strategy planning process within IT Foundation, including the development of key messages for key initiatives. Plan and develop communications for organizational change and specific organizational events. Identify and prioritize internal and external communication opportunities for project leadership. Support project teams by reviewing and recommending refinements to direct communication work products. Coaching/Counseling Provide leadership coaching thought partnership as strategic agenda is developed and executed. Counsel individuals on development of key messages and on effective message delivery. Support project teams by reviewing and recommending refinements to direct communication work products. Leverage knowledge of communication and the functional area employee mindset to advise and assist functional teams. Support IT Foundation Communications Infrastructure Responsible for overall effectiveness of all communications related to their functional technology area. Develop and monitors mechanisms to continually gather feedback from IT Foundation employees on their perceptions related to functional strategic agenda, understanding of strategic direction of IT, and how they contribute to its success. Schedule and ensures successful execution of campaign events within their function, including facilitation. Ensure relevance, consistency, integration, alignment, and appropriate timing of messages across the organization. Contribute to development of communication standards in policies, processes and tools. Identify and ensure production, ongoing maintenance, and evaluation of appropriate vehicles for communication within their functional area.
