The MotoGP racing series features some of the best riders and most innovative motorcycle tech in the world.

The motorcycles in the MotoGP racing series represent the pinnacle of motorcycle technology. Ducati, Kawasaki, and Yamaha likely spend $30 million to $50 million per year on their MotoGP racing efforts, and Honda is reputed to spend up to $100 million a year on its MotoGP team. The riders—such as six-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi, Spanish rookie phenom and current championship leader Marc Marquez—are among the most talented athletes on earth. As you might expect, the numbers involved can be dizzying. Riders can crack 210 mph on straightaways, and the bikes extract an incredible 240 hp from their 1-liter, four-cylinder engines.
