A social network designed to help top-producing agents share information about pre-MLS and non-MLS listings announced today that it will conclude its Boston-area rollout by launching chapters in the North Shore, South Shore and Cape and The Islands on April 29.
Top Agent Network (TAN) aims to enlist the membership of local markets' elite real estate agents to help them coordinate sales of homes that have not yet hit the market and homes that have not yet been listed on multiple listing services. Members of TAN also use the network for other purposes, like obtaining service-provider recommendations, referrals to agents in other areas and general advice, the company said.
After a turn developing projects outside Georgia, Atlanta-based Carter is set to return to its roots with a couple of big-time South Buckhead projects. Oddly enough, they're both projected to cost $50,000,000. The first one is a healthcare facility near Piedmont Hospital that would open in 2013. The other is an office tower that would sit atop a parking deck in Lindbergh City Center, the whole of which heavily involved Carter. The medical building seems like a no-brainer, but the addition of office space might raise eyebrows, considering Atlanta's lacking job growth. Perhaps that's why details are so vague; the game's called "wait and see."

Most big metro markets saw increase in homes hit with filings in 2012. Most large metro markets in the U.S. saw increased foreclosure activity in 2012, according to a report from foreclosure data aggregator RealtyTrac.

The 12-story, dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotels is at the corner of Williams and 10th streets. Combined, the hotels will have 226 units and will feature a 110-seat restaurant and lounge. The hotels are set to open early next year.
The 23-story 320-unit apartment building SkyHouse Midtown is being developed by Novare Group and the Batson-Cook Development Company at the corner of West Peachtree and 12th streets. SkyHouse Midtown also will include 8,400 square feet of ground-level retail space (mostly facing 12th) in addition to the free-standing parking deck.
