Airbnb.com a réalisé deux sondages auprès de plus de 2 000 hôtes entrepreneurs en France. Sans surprise, les conclusions du spécialiste de l'hébergement chez l'habitant sont plutôt flatteuses à son endroit. Les personnes interrogées indiquent que la mise à disposition de leur logement leur apporte un coup de pouce financier (28 %), un soutien indéniable (21 %), voire des revenus indispensables (11 %).

Blurring" is the term that has been coined to refer to the gradual fuzzing of the line between professional and private lives. It is a trend that has been accentuated by the spread of NICTs (New Information and Communication Technologies). In short, at work, everyone now feels they are entitled to take a break to browse the social networks, do some online shopping or send a few text messages to their loved ones about plans for the weekend. However, in just the same way, work also now encroaches on private life on weekday evenings, at weekends and during holidays. Indeed, the emails don't let up and employees keep checking them.

Hoteliers need to take cultural differences into account when they compare guest satisfaction levels for hotel guests in various countries. This study by J.D. Power finds that those differences can be remarkable. For example, the length of time that guests from different countries will wait to check in before they become unsatisfied varies greatly—from as little as five minutes to as long as half an hour (as shown in this infographic). The study provides recommendations on how to account for these differences in international satisfaction scores so that hoteliers can more effectively use their benchmarking results.

Loving Oculus and iWatch. The Apple iWatch begs the question; why do Apple not have an iCamera. Snaps could then be downloaded or emailed straight away. I know the phone has a camera but I am talking about something better...
