Christian Jernstedt also said multitasking is overrated. The brain can only consciously do about one thing at a time and thats why people cant talk on the phone and drive at the same time very well. He also found out that people learn better by at first, only useing symbols to identify with certain words. For example, when you are teaching kids about how to write/read the word soda, you would show them a picure of soda evey time you menchin the word and it helps them establish a picture with the word.(but im pretty sure early-learning teachers already do some sort of there teaching like that) I think the most interesting thing i read in the article is to be patient and persistent with students because "progress is an uneven pathway."
