As in our previous article we are among many websites opposed to SOPA, which is a law that is meant to enforce copyrights and piracy from content producers and entertainment. But we feel it goes a little too far and demonstrates how government action by people who do not understand how content and fair use really work. Think about how many parodies or music remixes are on YouTube or other websites that simply refer to content they like or dislike. Any one of those sites like Wikipedia could be shut down just because of the broad interpretation of this. We potential law.
Feel the same? It's easy censorship. Protect what the Internet is about and follow the link.
If you have been following the Lounge you know that we have been covering "Get Connected", which is a networking mixer in Atlanta for the independant film scene.
It is now a year since the first "Get Connected" and it has grown. Part of the attraction to the event is the ability to see some great indie films, like a film festival. This January is no different. there is a list of new films that will be presented at "Get Connected". If you are an actor, director, Cinematographer, or do music for film, get on board, you meet and connect with the film market in Atlanta, you should not miss it. Now if you just like to mingle with the film market or interested in investing in a film project, the doors are open.

USA TodayI still see myself as Indie filmmaker: RitchieTimes of IndiaBritish director Guy Ritchie may have helmed the latest Sherlock Holmes movie -- "A Game of Shadows" -- but says he still has Indie sensibilities.
The film does have incredible visuals and effects, which the big studios seemed to support from Ritchie. But regardless he claims that he thought of things in and "indie" kind of way. Hopefully most of the independent film world can achieve this form of flexibility and budget.
The sequel news is flying fast and furious and there's no time to waste. a little bit of talk relating to Star Trek 2, Expendable 2, The Honnit and More.
